The Minds of Billy Milligan

A little while ago, I read the book „ The Minds of Billy Milligan “, written by Daniel Keyes. It’s the shocking, non-fictional story of Billy, a young man suffering from multiple personality disorder. 24 different personalities find their origin in Billy’s mind. Each and every one of them individual …

The Killing

“The Killing” is one of Robert Muchamore`s bestselling novels. It is really great and I can really recommend it.

The story is about a teenage boy called James Adams. His mom died, so he was sent to an organisation called CHERUB where kids and teenagers are tought to be agents. All those children live on campus (the headquaters of CHERUB). One day James freaks out and beats up another child. As a consequence he gets punished by the teachers and has to clean the staffrooms for at least a month. But a very generous mission controller sends him on  a mission to London. And that`s where the action starts…

The Alchemyst

The Alchemyst

The main characters are called Josh and Sophie Newman. They are normal twins untill they accedenly watch two magicans fight.

After that they want to know  more about this magic.

I think it’s really interesting how Josh and Sophie find out more and more about real magic.

If you love fantasy stories like I do you defenitly have to read this book because its nearly only about magic and its also very reveting to read and you really don’t  know what is happening next.

Paper Towns by John Green

The main characters are Margo Roth Spiegelman and Quentin Jacobsen who were friends and neighbors when they were little but now they barely talk to each other.

A few weeks before they graduate Margo appears at Quentin’s window and asks him if he wants to accompany her in her all nighter of pranks. They break into sea world and pranks on he classmates they hate. In the next morning Margo was gone. Nobody knows where she is or if she’s dead or alive. She left clues for where she could be.

If they will find her or not you have to read yourselves!

The Weed that Stings the Hangman’s Bag

The bestselling author, Alan Bradley, has written this and the other five ,,Flavia de Luce Mysteries” with British humor. If you like mysterious and exciting detective books, then this book is exactly the right thing for you. This book is the greatest of all! I recommend it to people that are 14+.

We give the book 5 from 5 stars: *****

The book is about eleven-year-old Flavia de Luce. From the outside she looks small, breakable and weak. But she is actually very strong, disciplined and self-reliant. She lives in the idyllic but gloomy village Bishop’s Lacey in the year 1950. Her mother, Harriet, died in an accident many years ago. Her two sisters, Ophelia and Daphne, are the two meanest tied_up_with_strings_largegirls in the world. This makes Flavia’s life hard. To escape from daily life she always flees into the old chemistry lab in her house, because chemistry is her passion.

Thirty years ago a boy, called Robin Ingleby lived in the same village. He was  the same age as Flavia. One day he went to play in the forest but didn’t come back. His mother went into the woods and looked anxiously for him. But finally she found him…..hanged….. Everyone in Bishop’s Lacey thinks that it was suicide, but Flavia didn’t believe this version. Why would he have killed himself???

In the book a puppeteer, called Rupert Porson and his assistant Nialla come to Bishop’s Lacey to perform a show. Rupert Porson is one of the most brilliant and famous puppeteers in the world. At his show the people recognize one of the puppets as the boy, Robin. Everyone is shocked. All of a sudden Rupert dies at the show. Bishop’s Lacey’s citizens think that it was an accident. But again, Flavia is of another opinion. She thinks that the two deaths are somehow related. But how?

Is Flavia right?

Young Sherlock Holmes 4

I think this book is awesome for people who don’t like reading so much but like these kind of books (like me).

The main character is Sherlock Holmes but his brother Myrcrof, Amus Crow (his teacher) and Marthy his best friend are impotent as well.
