When you start reading it, it’s “just a book”. But if you go ahead with reading it, I promise you’ll fall in love. With that book. It’s not a book you read and then put it away and take another one but one you can’t stop reading and in the end can’t stop thinking about it.

Christopher Paolini has written one of the best books I’ve ever read, Eragon. If you like fantasy stories I would really recommend it to you but also if you don’t like fantasy stories try it out and maybe you will experience the same thing as me. I don’t like fantasy stories either but now I know that there are good ones too.
The world, in which the story is taking place is called Alagaësia and it’s under Galbatorix’ control. He is a fallen dragon rider. A long time ago dragon riders used to be good and the keepers of peace, but when Galbatorix’ dragon died he turned mad and evil. He killed all the dragon riders.
The actual story starts with Eragon finding a strange blue stone in the Spine, a mountainous region near his home. Eragon is a poor, 15 year old orphan, who lives with his uncle and his cousin. After a while Eragon realizes that the stone isn’t a stone but a dragon egg. He keeps it secret and raises his dragon away from everyone’s eye. Soon Eragon and his dragon Saphira have to flee, because there are two strange guys called th Ra’zac in town. They are working for Galbatorix and are looking for Eragon and the blue stone. While Eragon is away, they kill his uncle by burning down his house. Eragon travels along with Saphira and Brom, the old story teller in town to take revenge.
Now a kind of new life starts for Eragon. A life full of action, danger and magic…

As you already know Edward is a Vampire. Bella has no trouble with that extraordinary situation but maybe Edward? In the beginning Bella and Edward are in their best time. They spend a lot of time with each other and are the happiest people on earth. But then Bella celebrates her birthday at the Cullen’s and there she has a little accident and a little drop of blood drops out of her finger when the paper sliced her finger. Normally the Cullens are “vegetarians” and they drink only the blood of animals but one of them loses his control and the rest of the family have to save Bella from the ravenous, hungry vampire and at this point the trouble starts. Edward thinks it’s too dangerous for Bella to be with Vampires all the time so he breaks up with Bella.
For Bella this is the end but thank God Bella can count on her old best friend Jacob. He leads Bella through the darkest time of her life. Edward is gone “as if he never existed” this is too much for Bella and she tries to do reckless and stupid things like jumping off a cliff. Jacob tries to bring her back to ordinary but then he seems to have a much bigger problem. If you want to know what happens to Jacob and if Edward will come back you have to read NEW MOON!
There are two more volumes of this series they are called Eclipse and Braking Dawn. The author of this awesome book is called Stephenie Meyer.
The book I’ve just read is called Lionboy and if you like books about friendship or if you like animals especially cats you really have to read it. It is a really exiting story. If you once start to read it you really can’t stop and you always want to know how the adventure goes on.
The main character of the book is a friendly and brave boy called Charlie Ashanti. He seems quite normal. His parents are scientists. They can make very healthy medicines and lotions and exactly that is the problem. The book plays in the future and many children are ill. They have asthma. Charlie’s clever parents had found a medicine against it and that is when they get in trouble. Somebody wants their skills and for sure it is somebody who doesn’t want to do something good for the people.
So when Charlie comes home and his parents aren’t there, he decides to rescue them. With the help oft he cats, his only friends, he finds out that his parents are kept in Paris .
With a boat he wants to get to Paris , but when he gets to a swimming circus called Circe, everything changes, because there are lions too.
And Charlie is he only one who can talk to them.
The lion’s mad trainer Maccomo gives them a drug to make them more gently, but when Charlie figures that out he of course tries to help the lions and together they plan to run away from the circus and find Charlie’s parents.
If you want to know how this great story continues and if Charlie manages o rescue his parents you have to read the book!
Lionboy is the first book of three volumes, it is one of my favorite books, because you could really identify with Charlie. And it is very riveting to read.
We would like to present the suspense-packed page turner: The Hunger Games. It is an absolutely brilliant novel, written by a fantastic author, Suzanne Collins who came up with this compelling story.
The Hunger Games are set in destroyed North America. After a war, the glorious country Panem developed. Its centre, the beating heart is called the Capitol, which is surrounded by twelve districts. The districts have to support the Capitol. In return they keep peace and people would live under their reign in law and order.
Once a district 13 exited. It planned a revolution against the Capitol, which failed, district 13 was destroyed. And to remind the people of the remaining districts, that they haven’t got a chance against the power of the Capitol, they invented the Hunger Games, which are organized every year. In these games, 24 tributes, one girl and one boy from the age of twelve to eighteen from every district get picked to fight in an arena, with a yearly changed location, until only one is left. The winner then is a hero for lifetime.
Katniss Everdeen is a sixteen year old girl from district 12. (One of the poorest.) There she lives with her little sister Prim and her mother a very hard life. Since her father died, Katniss was the one who had to provide the family with food. So she had to learn how to hunt. Katniss is excellent with bow and arrow, even better than her friend Gale, who’s the only person she can really trust. Katniss is not really the joking type of person but who would be like that if he or she had to fight every day to survive. She is a really strong willed, tough, clever, loyal and passionate person, who would die for the things she believes in. But Katniss’ life changes completely when Prim’s name gets picked at the reaping. (The day when the tributes get chosen.) There is nothing that she loves more than her little sister, so Katniss volunteers.
Now she has to go to the Hunger Games. There are 24 tributes and only one can survive. Will Katniss come back to the things she loves so much, to Prim who won’t last long without her, who believes that her sister will come back? Only one can get out of the arena alive.
The main characters
The main character is Gregory Heffely, his nickname is Greg. He goes to school with his best friend Rowley . His hobby is playing videogames. Greg has an older brother called Rodrick Heffley.Rodrick is very mean to Greg, he goes to the same school as Greg. Rodrick plays in a band called “Löded Dipper”. Greg’s problem is that he had really lously summer and a secret. Rodrick always forces Greg to do something otherwise will tell everybody about his secret. Rodrick doesn’t have any problems.
Rodrick’s Party
The parents of Rodrick and Greg want to leave the house for the weekend, they explicitly forbid Rodrick to throw a party. The moment after the parents leave, Rodrick phones all his friends to throw a big house party. Shortly before the guest come Rodrick locks his brother in the cellar. While his brother is freezing in the basement Rodrick is having fun at his party. The next morning Greg walks upstairs into the livingroom, and it looks as if it was hit by a bomb. Greg has to help clean up the mess, because Rodrick forces him. Right afterward the parents come back and they didn’t notice anything. After one week the parents wanted to invite friends for dinner. They want to show some pictures to their friends. Unfortunaly on the camera thy find some pictures of the party. That’s how the parents know about the party. They are grounded for one month.
Book Recommendation
I have read the book “A Diary of a Wimpy Kid”. This book is a diary of a child called Greg . I read the book Rodrick rules, there are 8 different book of “A Diary of a Wimpy Kid”. This book is very interesting, because you often have the same as the main character Greg. The book is really nice to read, because it isn’t confusing. It is a book, where you don’t want stop reading because, you just want to know what happens next. You really need to read this great book.
The book I would like to recommend to you, is called “The Popcorn Pirates”. I think this book is good, because the is very interesting. Later I will tell you more about this. What I didnt like about the book are the pictures. They are very childish. One good thing about the book is, that it is not too thick, so it is never boring. The Main Characters: The main characters are Lucy, and her two friends. They live on the “Popcorn Islands”, that were discovered more than 100 years ago, by Lucys greatgrandfather and his wife. They found out, that you can grow popcorn very good on the islands, because of the soil. Soon after somebody had the idea to sell the popcorn to the Americans. They worked very well for many years, until now. The captain gets robbed by pirates. As he arrived at the islands, Lucy and her friends wanted to help the captain and his dog Biscuit. They decided to come along with him, but they were robbed, and the children were kidnapped. While they ever see Biscuit and the captain again? Or will they never escape and become pirates? If you want to know what happens next, you have to read the book yourself.
This book is definately one of the best, if not the best book I’ve ever read. Since I love books that are written with humor, love but are about mistery, this was just perfect to be honest. It’s basically about a 14 year old boy who’s called Ethan who has to go to high school like every other teenager in America. But as he wakes up on the first day of school, he surprisingly has to notice that he’s a girl now, Drew. His parents tell him all about that he’s a changer, what basically means that every year of highschool, he’s going to wake up as a completely different person. At the end of the 4 years highschool he then has to decide which person he wants to be for the rest of his life. It’s really funny how he always talked about having boobs and now he’s kind of scared of them and how he handles being a girl.:)
Into the wild is the first novel of the series warriors. In this book cats play the main characters. There are wild cats who live in the wood and fight each other. Rusty the main character lives with humans but he decides to join one of the clans in the wood but there life isn’t easy for a houscat like him and there are many enimies. I like this book and I think it is very exiting to read and it is fascinating to read from a cat’s view.
Skulduggery Pleasant
Skulduggery Pleasant is the first novel of the Skulduggery Pleasant series, writen by Derek Landy. The novel crosses the Horror, Comedy, mystery, and Fantasy Genres.
The Story is about the character Skulduggery Pleasant, an undead magician and dedective, with his Partner Stephanie Edgley who goes by Valkyrie Cain, and numerous Magic-wielding allies as they try to prevent Nefarian Serpine from unleashing a weapon of terrible power on the world.
Akira: I really enjoyed reading this amazing book, and I highly recommend it. It’s written by Kiera Cass and the main character is a girl called America Singer. It’s called ‘The Selection’ because America enters the competition called The Selection.
The story is set in the future, but it is not about flying cars. Thirty five girls have to fight for the Prince. You maybe now think of ‘The Bachelor’, but it is a lot better. He has to choose one girl who then gets to marry him and becomes a princess and one day also a queen. The problem is, America doesn’t even want to marry some trashy prince, because she has a secret love at home. Aspen, her boyfriend, who really does love her and doesn’t want to lose her, but he has to let her go, especially when something happens between the prince and her that shouldn’t have happened. There is a caste system with 8 levels and America is in the 5th. She’d automatically get in the 1st level, if she got chosen by the prince. When the man who tell the people who is selected came up in the TV, America couldn’t believe what he said. But you have to find that out yourself. All in all, I think it’s an amazing book also for our age and I recommend reading it for the girls in our class because I guess the boys wouldn’t like it that much. Still, it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read!:)
Pilar: I think this is a nice book, more for girls, but boys can also read it. There are 3 parts. This is the first part. I really liked this book, especially because it´s about princesses. This book is a book written by Kiera Cass, it´s about a girl called America Singer. She lives in Illéa. This book is in the future, but not the future with alien invasion… There is a cast system, there are 8 levels America is in one of the last levels she´s in level 5. This year Prince Maxton has to choose one of 35 girls. This is called the selection. America was one of those girls. She doesn´t want to marry some trashy price, because she has a secret love home, Aspen. He´s from the last level, so they are not allowed to be together. That was the reason why America was shocked when she heard her name in the television. She went in the castle. When she gets chosen by the prince, she would be sent in the 1st level. In the castle she found one really good friend called Kriss. Slowly after some time she falls in love with the Prince, but her boyfriend aspen is a knight in the castle, so everything gets really crazy for America.
I want to write about an amazing book named THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. I first watched the film then read the book. It’s a very good book and I really enjoyed reading this book and I can only recommend it to everyone. It is about a girl named Hazel Grace Lancaster and a boy named Augustus Walters. These two people are meant to be together. They both had cancer. Hazel is still suffering of tyroid cancer, Augustus Walters suffered through bone cancer and lost half of his leg. Mostly you can see that Hazel Grace is sick because she is carrying or better pulling around an oxygen tank. They meet at a support group that Hazel actually does really not want to go to. They meet and fall in love. They talk about life, death and about Hazels favorite book that ends in the middle of a sentence. Soon they want to find the ending of this book, wich leads them to a nice and complicated trip to Amsterdam, to find the Author and to ask him some questions about the book and how the book ends. This trip will change both of their lives. Mostly book about cancer are pretty boring, this book is different. John Green managed to make it funny, and still shows haw cancer really is and what a different life people with cancer have. The nice thing about this book is that it’s not about dying. It’s a book about life. In this book John Green has put all his talent into a book and made it to a world-wide bestseller.

The book is full of very realistic characters. It is about a boy called Nate who gets in every type of trouble you can get in. His best friends are Francis and Teddy. The one who makes his life hard is a girl called Gina. She is the worst person you can imagine because she wants Nate to be hated as much as possible and everything that that counts in her life are grades and to make Nate’s life as hard as she can.
The book is a comic novel. In the story Nate becomes the captain of a fleece ball team, which is an indoor version of baseball and all he wants to do is to win the big tournament. The problem is that Gina is in his team and this could cost him the victory. Another interesting character is in Mrs. Godfrey, his English teacher. She makes his life even harder because her favorite student is no one else than Gina. Mrs. Godfrey likes to make fun of Nate on front of the class, which he obviously simply hates. She also does other awful things to him, but you need to read the book to find out more about her.
I really recommend that you get this book and start reading it right away; it contains very good vocabulary, funny pictures and good jokes. The book is a bit like “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” if not even better.

The most compelling book we would like to recommend is called Divergent. We think it is a real page-turner. The catchy storyline of Veronica Roth is a worldwide bestseller. It is a dystopian fiction; that means it set in the future, in the wake of a terrible war.
In this riveting book society consists of five factions called: Abnegation-the selfless; Dauntless- the brave; Erudite-the intelligent; Candor-the honest and Amity-the peaceful. Each faction has its own duties. At the age of sixteen you have to go through a so-called aptitude test, which finds out who you truly are. To test this, you get injected with a serum that causes a simulation in your head. Normally the test results show one faction, but there are also people whose test results are inconclusive: DIVERGENT
Being a Divergent is extremely dangerous and rare. Powerful people want to get rid of them, because they are said to be a threat to all the other factions. Divergents are immune to the serums, no one can control them against their will.
The main character is Beatrice Prior. She lives with her brother Caleb and her parents Andrew and Nathalie in an Abnegation house. She lives a selfless life, but she doesn’t feel like an Abngation, because she also cares about herself. The aptiudiude test showed her three possible factions: Abnegation, Dauntless and Erudite. The fact that she is sixteen and her inconclusive test results makes it even harder to choose the right faction.
Either she has to leave her family or start a new life in another faction?! But the most important thing for her is to hide that she is DIVERGENT.

At the begining the book was a bit boring but if you stick with it and keep on reading, it becomes really interessting We think this book is way more interesting for girls than it is for boys. We really liked the book because it is realistic but at the same time there is a lot of fantasy.
Tommy comes to a new school. It is hard for him to make new friends. He signs up for a dance decoration committee. There he meets Ben and Thalia. Tommy, Ben and Thalia are drawing big banners with the school logo on them, but they forgot one color and Tommy has to get the missing color from the art room. In the art room he is hearing voices but he can-not see anyone. A short time before the dance starts, one banner tears apart and they have to get glue from the art room again. Ben wants to run up the stairs but Tommy is thinking he knows a shortcut. The shortcut turns into a dead end and Ben slams directly into the wall. The wall brakes down and behind it there is an elevator. Tommy Ben and Thalia want to ride the elevator but as soon as they are in it gets stuck, and they can-not get out….

When the Snow Fell is a great book about a joung boy called Joel Gustafson, who lives a poor life. Annualy he does his new year resolution. For example he wants to sea the sea, but he hasn’t got a lot of money. There is also another new year resolution: He wants to find his mother. Is he going to manage that or any other of his wishes?
